Champaign Central Drama is under the direction of LaDonna Wilson and Sarah Mohr. The theatre troupe presents at least one musical, one play, and one kids’ show every year. Students may participate at all levels: acting, set building, lighting, sound, stage management, directing, hair, make up, costuming, choreography, pit orchestra, and more. Central has an active drama club and is a member of the International Thespian Society. In the last few years, Central has had the featured show at the Illinois High School Theatre Festival twice (Sweeny Todd and Chorus Line) and took students to the National Theatre Festival in Nebraska in 2013 and again in 2015. Many alums go on to major in the arts–both onstage and backstage. Central shows are widely recognized as setting a high standard for excellence in high school theatre.

The Prom: School Edition as we are being evaluated to perform at the Illinois High School Theatre Festival!

Dress up in your best prom/fancy gear and cheer on Central Drama! 🎭 💜

Tickets: $5 for children 12 & under, $7 for students/staff/seniors, $10 for adults
