I use computer technology to enhance my teaching with digital recordings, my own arrangements of many songs for guitar, and printing out licensed music for each student on a custom, tailored basis. I have played for over 40 years, taught for over 30 years, and have worked with ALL ages and levels of students. Working with young people, I try to keep the fun in the lessons while sneaking in general music instruction, rhythms, notation, and learning to read music for the guitar. I have also taught a number of adults to play - it really is never too late to learn guitar! I use a different approach with adult hobbyists, less concentrating on the minutiae and mechanics, and more picking up skills with new material as we go along. "They laughed when I sat down on my guitar... but then I began to play!"
