You were a great father, husband, teacher, and coach. Your financial support, advice, advocating for those that couldn't, job assistance, and love helped so many sisters and brothers believe in themselves and understand they have purpose in this cold world. WAYNE’S WISDOM:

Always put into consideration an individual's environmental circumstances, before your opinions or assumptions cloud a judgment of present facts!

Emotions cake the frosting of peace an individual is served. How bitter or sweet life is, depends on the ingredients of actions that have been stirred up in one's recipe of steps.

It takes a village to raise a child so raise a child in the path of being a resource of respect and honor to the village.

It’s easy for any man to become a Dad, that takes minutes to a second!!! But what makes him become a man in his fatherhood is to follow through in taking on the everyday responsibilities to be seen, heard, and positively mimicked by your seeds regardless of relationship with your child's mother.

Trust God with your journey, pray forward with strong faith that the steps to finding your way are covered by patience, grace, and wisdom.

I feel fortunate to be surrounded by great assistant coaches, great parents, It takes us all to be successful.

I thank God!!! He has blessed me to have a son that has played on this many championships teams. To be a part of that with your son is extra special and I would encourage any dad all over America to please stay with your kids.

Legacy is a growth of character through your own seed! Support them, support their spouses, there companions and good things can happen

Wayne McClain always overemphasized the importance of being disciplined in the repetition of basic fundamentals to his coaches and athletes. In his view, development should be implemented in practice every single day. Our elder understood what to look for in the opposition's habits during warmups and exploit their weaknesses during games. He was very clear with his athletes that in the real life employment force, these are the same competitive tactics and principles used.



WAYNE’S WISDOM:

“Everyday you take a day off from your goal there are hundreds of thousands of individuals with that same goal. It is imperative that you build a work ethic that gives you an advantage.”

“Just because you go to the gym everyday, doesn't mean you're going to reach that dream. It's about who works the hardest and works on making weaknesses strong points.”

“If you can look yourself in the mirror at the end of the day daily as a player, employee, parent, coach, and hold yourself accountable as to how well you prepared and executed your goal, you have excelled at the game of self-awareness and self-assessment. Growth and maturity measures how you stand the test of time.”

Wayne McClain’s techniques and coaching style have proven to be instrumental in the world of basketball both locally and internationally.

Wayne McClain’s vision and strategies for winning have been adopted by African American communities, leaders, and mentees not only in his home town of Peoria, Illinois, but throughout every corner of the state.

Wayne McClain was raised and rooted in Christianity. His beliefs influenced his great works and contributions. On December 2nd 2014, he was recognized and unanimously voted as one of the Most Influential People by the Illinois State House of Representatives.
