The National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) Chicago chapter hosted high school students at Gies Business for the Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP) this week.

They provided early exposure to accounting, finance, and entrepreneurship through workshops, lectures, case studies, and tours.

The U of I chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) was revived during the 2024-25 academic year by a group of students determined to rebuild and create something even stronger.

In one year, the chapter has surpassed 70 members, earned multiple awards, and established itself as one of the most active student organizations at Illinois!

Congratulations to Jeff Brown for winning this year's Robert I. Mehr Award from the American Risk and Insurance Association (ARIA)!
