Congrats to former Jaguar Luke Smith on being named head coach at Centennial! From being the winning pitcher in the title game of the Jaguars' first ever Regional championship, to leading the Centennial Chargers to the Sectional Championship game, to pitching in the College World Series for Louisville... Luke has known success!

No doubt that Coach Smith will lead Centennial to great things! Congrats, Luke!

Former Jaguar Madden Schurvinske has been nominated for the News-Gazette’s Athlete of the Week! Madden went a perfect 5-for-5 with a home run, double and four RBI in Centennial’s win over rival Central last Friday.

Congrats to Isaiah Jackson on signing a professional contract with the Milwaukee Brewers! Isaiah’s talent was evident even back in middle school as he led the Jaguars in batting average, hits, stolen bases, and runs scored on the 2015 regional championship team.

Besides his athletic ability, Isaiah was a fantastic teammate and tremendous leader - traits that have taken him far!

Today marks the 10 year anniversary of Jefferson's first regional baseball title. On September 19, 2011, the Jaguars defeated Franklin 5-1. There was loads of talent on the field that day with both teams having several players who went on to play collegiately and even professionally!

Can't believe that exciting day was already 10 years ago!

Congrats to Walker Smith and Seth Gossett who were named to the News-Gazette All-Area Baseball teams! Hard to believe these two just wrapped up their high school baseball careers. Time flies!

Walker and Seth were key players for the Jaguars in winning the 2015 Regional Championship and the 2016 Conference Championship.

Kaden Murphy tossed a complete-game two-hitter for Centennial and was backed by a relentless attack on the basepaths.

The 2020 season officially comes to a close with tonight's team banquet. It was a great way to celebrate this special group of players that will go down as one of the most accomplished in school history! Thanks for a fun season!
