We're looking for someone to join our team in Ford and Iroquois counties!

The Extension Program Coordinator, 4-H Youth Development, supports promoting, expanding, and implementing University of Illinois Extension 4-H Youth Development Programs. This position will be located in our Gilman office. Applications must be received by 6:00 pm (Central Time) on December 3, 2025.

Did you grow some extra pumpkins in your garden this year? Ag in the Classroom is looking for some medium to large pumpkins for October lessons. Let us know if you have any you would like to donate! 🎃

Are you a teacher, administrator, or homeschool parent? Be sure to mark your calendar for the Ag in the Classroom Back To School Open House at the Ford-Iroquois Farm Bureau building!

There will be so many great resources and opportunities available, including:
- Educational grants
- Free teaching resources
- Door Prizes
- First chance at some exciting new programs, available for all grades!

This is an event that you do not want to miss!

🍕DOES PIZZA COME FROM AGRICULTURE?🍕

Of course it does! Ag in the classroom students get to learn all about this.

🌾- Pizza crust is made from flour, which comes from wheat, which is grown by farmers!

🍅 - Pizza sauce is made from tomatoes, which are grown by farmers!

🧀 - Cheese is made with milk, which comes from dairy cows that are raised by farmers!

If you like pizza, thank a farmer!!

FARM SAFETY BRACELETS

Ford-Iroquois Ag in the Classroom will be holding a farm safety activity for kids at the Iroquois County Fair! Stay tuned for the date and time!

Don’t forget to stop by at Kinos in Paxton Wednesday!! There is a complimentary drink with your name on it!!☺️

Last week was the Ford-Iroquois Ag in the Classroom Open House! It was a great night, complete with a charcuterie board. Teachers who attended received first pick of dates for Ag in the Classroom in the 2024-25 school year! It's going to be a great year!
