Our second-grade students had a special visit from Father Phelps during Spanish class! They learned about Our Lady of Luján, the patroness of Argentina, and witnessed the blessing in Spanish of two images of the Blessed Virgin Mary. 💙🙏

Last night, this great group of young men celebrated 8th Grade Night! 💚 These Raiders have made memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. The 8th graders have been great examples for their teammates and have left their mark on the Raider baseball program. They are heading into the post season with a record of 8-2. Go Raiders!💚⚾💚⚾

Last Friday, Raiders Cross Country competed in the Cow Chip Classic in Chrisman. We had 7 medal winners with Charlie Junokas winning the 5th grade boys race and Dave Rice taking 2nd. Clark Gratkins finished 2nd in the 7th grade boys race.

Other medal winners included:

7th grade boys: Jack Junokas (7th)
7th grade girls: Lily Keiser (8th)
8th grade boys: Tommy Monahan (6th)
8th grade girls: Sofia Makhnenko (5th)

The Lady Raider's softball season came to an end today losing in the regional championship. They ended the 2026 season with a record of 14-3! Your fellow Raiders are so proud of you! The hard work and dedication you put into this season is impressive!

Congrats to Eden Gooding for receiving the IESA Sportsmanship Pin given to a player showing a positive attitude, giving their best effort, and elevating the play and behavior of their teammates.

On Friday, Mrs. Crawford's Pre-K class celebrated their Happy Bear Day with their SUPER friends! 🐻

Third grade class had a very special guest in Spanish class. Sister Maria Consuela joined us to read a book to the students. The students enjoyed listening to a story in Spanish, practicing their listening skills, and experiencing the joy of reading in another language.

Tercer grado tuvo una invitada muy especial en la clase de español. La Hermana Maria Consuela nos acompañó para leerles un libro. Los estudiantes disfrutaron escuchando un cuento en español, practicando su comprensión auditiva y descubriendo la alegría de leer en otro idioma.

St. Matthew did get to celebrate their 8th graders on the field last night. Charlee & Gigi got to take the field one last time in regular season play. (We still miss Emma💚)

St. Matthew's 8th Grade Night was canceled last night because of the heat! We were ready to go so the varsity softball team celebrated Gigi, Emma, and Charlee today at lunch! (We miss you Emma!) JV got to enjoy some treats too! The Raiders are currently 11-2 and gearing up for regional play next week! 💚🥎💚
