Is your pressure canner ready for canning season?
Dial-gauge pressure canners should be tested every year to make sure they are accurate. Even a slightly off gauge could affect the safety of your canned food. Weighted-gauge pressure canners do not need annual testing.

Illinois Extension offers free dial-gauge testing. Simply drop off your pressure canner lid at one of our local Extension offices. We will contact you with the results and arrange a pickup time.
