Champaign Community Unit School District #4 is located in Champaign County in east central Illinois. Students residing within the City of Champaign, the Village of Savoy and the Village of Bondville attend our schools. Reminder: Our school supply giveaway is this Tuesday, August 4. After meeting your child's school and getting your supplies, don't forget to stop by our community partner tables. In addition to valuable back-to-school resources, many of our partners will be giving away extra school essentials while supplies last, including: facial tissues, disinfectant wipes, dry-erase markers, binders, index cards, composition notebooks, socks, and more!

It takes teamwork to get ready for a new school year.
A huge thank you to our dedicated Unit 4 employees from the Windsor and Mellon administrative buildings, our Superintendent's Cabinet, school administrators, and our partners at the CUSchoolsFoundation for coming together to assemble thousands of school supply bags for our annual Back-to-School Supply Giveaway. Your time and commitment will help students start the school year with the tools they need to succeed.
Families are invited to join us for the Back-to-School Supply Giveaway on Tuesday, August 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Marketplace Mall. Along with receiving school supplies, families will have the opportunity to meet their school's administrators, connect with district leadership, and learn more about the resources and opportunities available for the upcoming school year.
We look forward to welcoming our families and helping everyone start the school year strong.

Today we celebrated the creativity and hard work of our Youth Employment Services (YES) students during the YES Summer Celebration at Centennial High School.
A highlight of the evening was the unveiling of a new student mural created in partnership with local artist Jose Vazquez, alongside a showcase of student-crafted welding projects. These works represent the skills these students developed through hands-on learning and career experiences.
Congratulations to all of our YES participants for an incredible summer. Thank you to our educators, community partners, and families for supporting opportunities that prepare our students for success in school, careers, and beyond.

As the summer comes to an end, about 200 Champaign students are wrapping up jobs they found through Champaign Unit 4 School District’s Youth Employment Services (YES).
The YES program helps students learn everything from what to put on their resume to how to get comfortable in an interview.
With valuable on-the-job experience, the high schoolers in the program shared these five tips with IPM News for others applying to jobs.
