SkillsUSA Illinois is looking for its next State Director! This is a unique opportunity for a passionate, mission-driven leader to make a real impact on students, schools, and workforce development across Illinois.
This role is remote, with regular travel throughout Illinois for school visits, partner meetings, conferences, and other key events. The salary range is $90,000 to $120,000, and benefits are negotiable.
If you have experience in leadership, fundraising, partnership development, and organizational strategy—and you care deeply about preparing students for success in the skilled trades and workforce—we would love to hear from you.

June is here, which means it's time for another year of the EFE Summer Construction Program. This three-week summer experience is a partnership with Parkland College and others to introduce 18 high school students to careers in the construction trades.

Congratulations to Central High School senior and current Early College and Career Academy Construction Trades student Sam Nicolette on being accepted into the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #218 apprenticeship! Sam is the first of many from this group of ECCA Construction Trades students who will be accepted into local trade union apprenticeships.

A huge thank you goes out to the Public Safety Training Foundation in Decatur for hosting our Early College and Career Academy Criminal Justice students at their amazing facility today. This was the last field trip of the year for this group!

Champaign Police were happy to have students from Parkland College stop by this morning for a tour of our facility, learning about the work we do, the tools we use, and the history of our department.
This class is part of the Early College and Career Academy (ECCA) at Parkland College, a dual credit career pathway program for high school juniors and seniors. Students from 15 area high schools participate in one of nine different ECCA career pathway options, including law enforcement.

We were grateful to welcome the Criminal Justice class from the Early College and Career Academy (ECCA) for a visit to our correctional facility.
This program, offered through Parkland College, provides high school juniors and seniors with a dual-credit career pathway experience. ECCA is a collaborative partnership between Parkland College, Education for Employment System 330, and local school districts, giving students valuable exposure to real-world careers.
Students from 15 area high schools participate in one of nine different career pathways through ECCA, including Criminal Justice.
