The men are hard at work putting together tables for our new multipurpose room at Lindsey Life Adult Day in Champaign!

There are real benefits to staying active and engaged as we age. Learning, creating, working with our hands, and contributing to something meaningful can help keep our minds engaged, give us a sense of purpose, and bring a whole lot of satisfaction.

Lindsey Life Mike Berkes spoke at the Golden K Kiwanis Club of Decatur today.

Our speaker for the Sept. 9, 2026 meeting was Mike Beckes, Director of Program Development, Lindsey Life Adult Day Center, Decatur, IL.
He spoke on Adult Day Services: A Valuable Resource for Older Adults and Their Families focusing on adult day core services and model, benefits and evidence, staffing and operations, costs and funding, program design and activities, and workforce and caregiver impact.
