Press release from Carle Hospital following a visit by the fellows

Visiting African leaders experience Carle culture, quality | Carle Foundation Newsroom Fellows visit Carle's Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, Heart & Vascular Institute and Level III NICU before heading to D.C. to meet President Obama.

PMI fellows were invited to volunteer in various activities, including joining Rep. Carol Ammons in the Champaign-Urbana Parade.

PMI fellows spent the morning at Illinois American Water learning about the processes of harvesting, purifying, and distributing water.

The fellows had two sessions with Dr. Sam Smith at the Krannert Center for Performing Arts. One of those sessions was a celebration of the life of John Paul Usman from Nigeria.
