This is it. No, really.

I’ve talked a lot about the Frank Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund.

I’ve talked about why scholarships matter to families — helping bridge the gap between what they can afford and the care their child needs, especially during times of financial strain.

I’ve talked about how donations make up more than 30% of The Elaine Clark Center’s funding and why every gift, no matter the size, matters.

But what I haven’t said enough is thank you.

Thank you for supporting ECC — whether you volunteer, donate, share a post, attend an event, or simply tell someone about the work we do.

All of those things bring awareness, understanding, and life to the vision Frank Clark had for his very special daughter, Elaine.

Everyone always says that, and to be honest, it’s true.

At The Elaine Clark Center, more than 30% of our funding comes from donations. That support helps make scholarships possible for students and families who need them.

Family members lose jobs. Someone gets sick. Unexpected expenses happen. Any number of circumstances can affect a family’s ability to pay tuition at The Elaine Clark Center.

That is when the Frank Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund can step in — helping families through a difficult season and allowing their child to continue receiving the care, education, and support they rely on.

For children and young adults, continuity matters. Familiar routines, trusted relationships, and consistent support can make a meaningful difference.

Scholarships exist because families may need ECC even when tuition does not fit neatly into the household budget.

Parents have to work. Children need care. And some children need a level of support that not every childcare program is equipped to provide.

ECC’s tuition is comparable to other childcare programs, but for some families, ECC comes after other options have not worked. Their child may have been asked to leave another program because their behavior, communication needs, or level of support was considered “too much.”

For those families, ECC can become the place where their child is understood, supported, and included.

Scholarships help ensure that tuition does not become one more barrier after a family has already worked so hard to find the right place for their child.

As children grow, some families eventually leave the Elaine Clark Center. Parents often say their families are in a wonderful place—and credit much of that progress to the support they received during their child’s early years at ECC.

Today, approximately 30% of ECC families receive scholarship assistance.

The Frank Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund helps ensure the next family can begin or continue its ECC journey, regardless of what it can afford.

For some families, it provides help during the years they need it most. Parents have time to grow their careers and build greater financial stability.

Sometimes scholarships bridge the gap when unexpected financial burdens hit a family. Eventually, many families no longer need assistance.

Parents need to work. Children with special needs require care, appointments, and therapy.

At ECC, children’s therapists can work with them right at the Center. A partial scholarship helps make that support affordable.
