Art is a big part of life at the Elaine Clark Center.
We use art to teach new skills, encourage creativity, support communication, provide a calming outlet, and celebrate the unique talents of every student we serve.
But one of our favorite things about art is seeing what happens when our students are given the freedom to create.
Every painting, drawing, sculpture, and masterpiece tells a story. Some are colorful. Some are messy. Some are unexpected. All of them are uniquely theirs.
Our walls are filled with artwork, but more importantly, they are filled with confidence, self-expression, and pride.
We love seeing the amazing creations our students bring to life every day. 🎨💚

**"What do you mean you haven't donated to the Frank Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund?"**
The collective look of confusion when someone suggests that children should have to pause their progress because of financial barriers. 😳
At the Elaine Clark Center, scholarships help bridge the gap between what families can afford and what children and young adults need to learn, grow, and thrive.
Because no child should be turned away based on their ability to pay.
Join us in supporting the Frank Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund and help ensure that every family has access to the care, community, and encouragement they deserve.

Most schools have rules about running in the hallways.
At the Elaine Clark Center, we may need rules about speeding.
This young lady was caught flying down the hallway on her tricycle with complete confidence and absolutely no concern for traffic laws.
And honestly? We love to see it.
Behind every ride is strength, determination, independence, and a child discovering what they're capable of.
Sometimes progress looks like therapy.
Sometimes it looks like taking over the hallway on three wheels.

It's Friday.
The week has been full of lessons, therapies, activities, questions, laughter, problem-solving, encouragement, and a thousand small moments that most people never see.
And somehow, our amazing staff is still smiling.
We often talk about the children and young adults we serve, but behind every milestone, breakthrough, friendship, and successful day is a team of dedicated professionals who show up again and again with patience, skill, and heart.
Today they may all be wearing matching ECC shirts, but what really stands out is the shared commitment they bring to our students and families every day.
We are grateful for the teachers, therapists, counselors, and staff members who help make the Elaine Clark Center a place rooted in care, consistency, and connection.
Happy Friday from Team ECC!

Summer Camp is in full swing at the Elaine Clark Center, and the building is buzzing with energy!
Our classrooms and hallways are filled with familiar faces, new friendships, laughter, learning, and plenty of summer fun. We're excited to welcome new camp counselors who are jumping right in and building connections with our campers.
A special thank you to Crushers Adaptive Sports for helping our students stay active, build skills, and experience the joy of sports in an inclusive environment. We're also grateful for the amazing campers and volunteers from Wieuca Road Baptist Church who are spending part of their summer serving, learning, and making memories alongside our students.
Summer at ECC is more than just a camp.
It's a place where children and young adults build confidence, friendships, independence, and community.
And judging by the smiles around campus, we're off to a fantastic start.

Scholarships help ensure that families who need the Elaine Clark Center can access the support their children and young adults deserve.
Sometimes a scholarship is temporary. A job loss, medical crisis, or divorce can send a family's finances into a tailspin. A scholarship helps ensure that a child's progress doesn't stop when life becomes difficult.
Sometimes a scholarship changes the rhythm of a family. Instead of spending hours each week driving between appointments, a child can receive therapies and support in one place. Families gain something precious: time together.
Sometimes a scholarship means the difference between a young adult spending their days isolated at home and having a thriving community of friends, activities, purpose, and belonging.
Scholarships do far more than cover tuition.
They provide stability during uncertain times. They create opportunities for growth. They strengthen families. They build community.
Most importantly, they ensure that a child's potential is never limited by a family's financial circumstances.
