Hi CMS Families,

Field Day is coming up this Friday, and the students are so excited! We know this is a late request, and we truly appreciate your understanding—but we would be so grateful for your help in making this special day a success.

Volunteers will be assigned to Field Day stations when you arrive, and CMS staff will do their best to accommodate any preferences you may have. 8TH GRADE ANNOUNCEMENTS

8th grade Dance + EOY Spirit Week Activities

The 8th grade Teachers are planning a lot of fun and educational activities for the 8th grade as we get closer to the end of the year.

The 8th grade is asking every 8th grade parent to pay class dues of $25 per 8th grader if your student will attend the dance. Dues are $10 if your student will not attend the dance. This cost includes all of the May Spirit Week activities including a Chick-fil-A breakfast day, donut day, T-shirt tie-dying, a Kona ice break, and much more.

MILESTONES TESTING SNACK FOR TEACHERS/STAFF

Milestones Testing Snack for Teachers and Staff

Georgia Milestones Testing is coming up and we want to help support our amazing teachers and sustain them during this busy time with some drinks and snacks!

We have 4 teacher lounges that we are trying to stock and testing lasts for 8 days!

All items can be dropped off in the front lobby of the school or carpool area on Tuesday, April 30th during morning carpool.

We would also love to have 3-4 volunteers to collect the items.

CMS Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week will take place the week of May 12th through May 16th, and I need YOUR help to make it a success!

I have a fun week planned for our Teachers and Staff which includes:

Monday: Snacks for the Break Rooms

Tuesday: Breakfast from Bronx Bagel Buggy and Coffee from Sidecar

Wednesday: Amazon Gift Cards

Thursday: Lunch from Tastee Spoon

Friday: Fabulous Friday Raffle!

None of this will be possible without the help and generosity of our wonderful parents and CMS community.

I'm looking for volunteers to help with setting up the food for the week and donating items for our Fabulous Friday Raffle.

The teachers LOVE the raffle, and we have had a lot of success through the awesome donations from our community.

If you have any goods or services you would like to donate to the raffle, please reach out to me asap.

Items can include gift baskets, tickets to sporting events or Atlanta tourist attractions, gift cards (Amazon, Restaurants, Gas, Publix), photo sessions, etc.

If you have something you would like to donate, we would LOVE to have it.

ALL raffle items need to be sent in by Sunday, May 11th.

From Chamblee Middle School:

Please be advised that a water main break at the intersection of Peachtree Industrial and Sexton Woods Drive is currently being worked on. This may cause intermittent issues with traffic in that area and with our water. To ensure your student stays hydrated, we kindly recommend that they bring a water bottle to school as we monitor the cleanliness of our water. Additionally, water is being sent from DCSD to CMS for distribution.

The Snow"Ball" will be taking place on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2025 from 4:30PM-6:30PM.

COST: $10.00

Concessions will be sold separately.

The Snow"Ball" is an all-white outfit party.

Tennis Shoes and/or Sneakers are REQUIRED.

THE PERMISSION SLIP BELOW MUST BE COMPLETED TO PURCHASE A TICKET AND ATTEND.
