Our hearts go out to Bella and Kaiden, her children whom we had the pleasure to care for at Eagles Nest as well as their siblings, her mother Amy and her brothers Liam and Hunter whom we also had the pleasure to care for previously and all of her siblings, family and friends. We have no words to ease the pain during this tragic time but we can offer our prayers and support. Dear former Eagles Nest Families and Staff,
It is with a heavy heart I announce the passing of one of our beloved staff members, Miss Tina. She was a part of our center from the beginning and a part of the center before I took over. She was always ready to welcome you first thing in the morning. A hard worker, a joyful soul, an amazing cook, and just so caring and so loved by so many! She passed peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of Wednesday 11/8/2023. Please join me and her family/friends in praying for the peaceful repose of her soul. May she rest peacefully in God’s most loving arms. You will forever be missed Miss Tina! 🙏✝️🕊️

For anyone that could be able to swing it her burial is today (Friday 11/10/23) at 2:00pm at Lincoln Cemetery here in Chambersburg.

Daycare closing sale continues today- Saturday 4/1!!!!! Will be at the center 11:30-4ish!! It’s hard to keep up with messages and comments so I encourage you to come take a look for yourself at what we have left which is still a good bit because we just have SOOOO.MUCH.STUFF!!!

Update on our closing sale!!! We had such an overwhelming response to the posts we made last week we weren’t able to keep up with responding to everyone with everything else we had going on. Took a few more pics to show what we have left which is a good bit despite selling a good bit already. We are here typically 10-3 but will meet you at anytime that may work for you. Hoping to be here thru Saturday afternoon yet. Please be advised the majority of this stuff is two years old and in fair condition. There likely won’t be much of a bargain on some our newer and even unused items but we do have toys and books tossed in bags for a pretty bargain price. Just some of our newest stuff/gently used stuff and furniture items won’t be significantly discounted but will be sold at a fair price. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions but do allow us time to respond as we may not get right back to you but will do our best. Everything you see in bags are toys and books we bagged up for a bargain price!!! This is just out downstairs there’s a whole upstairs yet with tons more. Come see for yourself!

We have many items to part with as our time as Eagles Nest comes to an end. Too much to post pics of but if you’re looking for something specific don’t hesitate to message and ask and then we will send pics! 98% of our items were bought brand new in last two years when we moved to this location and still in great condition!!! Since everyone who needed to hear first has heard Eagles Nest Child Care Center regretfully announces we are closing permanently as of March 24, 2023. What a ride this has been for us. I’ve been incredibly blessed to meet so many amazing families, to care for so many wonderful kiddos and to have so many awesome staff work for me! To all who has come thru here please know each will forever hold a special place in my heart as this exciting chapter comes to an end!!!

We have received numerous calls questioning why we are closing. Apparently many centers are fearful that inspectors are just going around shutting centers down. That is in no way the case for us nor is it anything I have heard going on. If that is in did what would have happened that’s public knowledge and you certainly would have heard about it or would be able to access that info on the OCDEL provider website. We have made a business decision financially necessary at this point to close. The staffing crisis is real. And COVID did a number on providers. It’s a sad situation. To all my fellow providers, thank you for doing what you are doing and for sticking in this industry thru such a challenging time.

Bare with me, in a chapter this looong and this awesome many people deserve much thanks- so here goes!

To my staff, families and the kiddos: THANK YOU! Thank you for choosing Eagles Nest, thank you for the memories and for all the love and support through the years.… thank you especially to my staff(some still with me and those who have moved on) you guys are what helped make us so successful! Truly a blessing!

Especially to the kiddos though I know most can’t read this but I know a few can: REACH FOR THE STARS!!! Your future is bright. Know of one thing for sure…. EEEEKA ( as they call me) will cherish our memories always! You’ll forever be in my heart! 🥹🥹♥️

To my dad, who I pray is resting is peace- THANK YOU for doing everything you possibly could to make my dream come true. I don’t even have to question if you’re proud of me, you never let me forget it and so I don’t doubt it for a second. Without your financial support, your love and guidance this would have never happened for me so I honor you in such a special way.

To my mom: thank you! You’ve always been my biggest fan. Thank you for taking this place on and for providing us with sooo much help along the way!!! Such a blessing to have had you by my side thru this!

To my sister, nieces and nephews and allll of my family: can’t miss an opportunity to thank you all for all you’ve done for me thru this! It means a lot to have such a solid support system!

To my besties- you girls know who you are! Thank you also for supporting me and being right by my side! Love you ladies!

To my husband and kids, thanks for sacrificing so much to support me through this chapter. You’ve always been right there by my side thru everything and I couldn’t ask for a better family and support system to see me thru! Thank you guys- my love for you goes beyond any words!

And last but not least and most importantly- all glory and praise to God almighty for blessing me with this most amazing adventure. I trust in His plan and know that whatever is next for me will be just where I’m supposed to be!
