🍭 Leadership isn't about a title—it's about the impact you have on others. 💙
The LFC Youth Class of 2027 gathered yesterday for their annual summer retreat, where the focus was on building trust 🤝, strengthening connections 🌟, and laying the foundation for a successful year ahead.
Through team-building challenges led by Mark Keck and the Mill Road Adventures Team 🧗, the 25 students stepped outside their comfort zones, learned to rely on one another, and strengthened the bonds that will carry them through the program.
Students also continued to explor the Five Practices of the Student Leadership Challenge, their True Colors personalities 🎨, and watched Drew Dudley's "Leading with Lollipops" TED Talk. 🍭 The message was simple but powerful: leadership is often found in small acts of kindness that make a lasting difference.
Before leaving, students reflected on the kindness they experienced during the retreat and were challenged to create their own "lollipop moments" by paying it forward. 💛 Each student received two lollipops—one to keep and one to give away.
We can't wait to see this incredible group continue to grow as leaders, teammates, and changemakers! 🚀
