Our Cookies for a Cause drive just wrapped up and we earned $1060+ for our friends over at the CASD Engagement Center. Big thanks to our bakers (young and old!) and everyone who supported this initiative!

Tomorrow, we’ll be continuing our look at world-building in art and how it can be used to speak to real world concerns. Join us at Central Presbyterian Church from 6-8!

The Workshop meets tomorrow (3/26) from 6 till 8. We’re going to play with the notion of world building through art and writing while also considering our world today. Hope to see you there!

We’re coming up on our annual gourmet cookie sale to help a local org. This year, we’re continuing our support of the CASD Community Engagement Center. They provide a wide array of supports for students and families in our community. If you want to get involved, you can pre-order some cookies OR come out and help us bake next Sunday afternoon.

Yesterday, we went out to to help with their community gardens! What a fun day! We got to play in the dirt and help them prepare for the season. These gardens will be available to folks in the community who would like to grow their own fresh food. It’s great to be a small part in their wonderful ministry!

Heading over to help our friends at with their community gardens tomorrow! We’ll meet over there at 10. Come out, help, and plan to get dirty!

There are a lot of ways that young people in our community can make a huge difference! Next Saturday, we’re helping our friends at with their community gardens. At the end of the month, we’re doing our big gourmet cookie fundraiser for the CASD Engagement Center (they help struggling students and their families). Lastly, we’re always doing our tutoring and mentoring program every Monday evening. All of this is driven by local young people! So if you’ve been looking to make an impact, reach out and join us!

We spent a few hours this morning at the CASD Community Engagement Center helping to organize their donations and storage closet. There are a lot of students and families that benefit from the center, so it was a pleasure to help out in some small way!

The Workshop is our new creative arts program for young folks to share their creative talents in writing and visual art. We’ve moved to meeting twice monthly (the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month). Tomorrow night we’ll look at “after poems,” creating our own responses to existing poems. We’ll also have time to share our own latest works. If you’d like to join, reach out, we’d love to have you!

This Saturday, we’re helping our friends at the CASD Engagement Center. The center is designed to help local students and families who need a wide array of services, from language support to social services. We’re meeting at and heading over at 10:00a to provide some help organizing donations they’ve received from the community. Our help will make it easier for the center to get these materials into the hands of those who need them. Hope to see you there!

The Workshop at Central is back this spring! This is our program for teens who to express themselves creatively through art or writing. Tomorrow’s meeting will focus on the importance of community and supporting one another. Hope to see you there!
