💻 Could YOU be our next Programming Mentor? 🤖

Our robotics team is looking to add a programming mentor to our FTC program!

Our students take the lead on all aspects of the robot, but we’d love to add someone with professional programming or software development experience who can consistently attend meetings and become a regular resource for our students.

Our robot is programmed in Java, but FTC or robotics experience isn’t necessary. We’re looking for someone who understands programming, enjoys teaching and problem-solving, and can help students think through challenges and develop their skills.
The goal isn’t to program the robot for the students, but to teach, guide, troubleshoot, and help them become stronger, more independent programmers.

If you or someone you know might be interested, we’d love to talk! And if you’re not sure whether your experience would be a good fit, please reach out anyway. We’d be happy to tell you more!

From end bells to start switches, our students had the opportunity to explore motors with Mr. Sollenberger from S&S Electric Motors, Tools & Equipment / Battery Warehouse.

They learned about motor components, disassembled a motor to identify its different parts, diagnosed and repaired issues, then reassembled and tested it.

We are so grateful to have a community of mentors who support our team and give them opportunities to grow their STEM skills!

It's always fun to invite friends over right? For our last two meetings we have enjoyed hosting new friends at our Open House and our supporters for Sponsor Appreciation Night. Face to face sharing of our accomplishments and fun through this season and expressing our thanks in person help to develop valuable life skills in our team members.
