🦉 What a great OWLS Expo at Chalmette High School!

On Thursday evening, we welcomed more than 250 future and current CHS families to our OWLS Expo! After a presentation in our theater, families had the opportunity to connect with our teachers and students to learn more about the courses, electives, extracurriculars, and athletics that make CHS such a special place.

On Friday, we welcomed 8th graders from across our district for another exciting day of exploration! Our future Owls had the chance to interact with current Owls, discover new interests, and see firsthand the many opportunities waiting for them at Chalmette High.

A huge thank you to our teachers, students, coaches, and staff for making the OWLS Expo a success! We also extend a special thank you to the administrators at our three district middle schools, our transportation department, and our bus drivers for helping make the 8th grade visit possible. We appreciate everyone's teamwork and support in giving our future Owls this exciting opportunity!

Update on Tropical Storm Isaias: In coordination with the National Weather Service and our local Office of Emergency Preparedness, we are continuing to closely monitor Tropical Storm Isaias. The storm is currently forecast to strengthen and reach hurricane status before making landfall later this week. Recent forecast models have shifted the projected track farther east, which could lessen the storm’s potential impact on our area; however, the exact impact remains uncertain.

As of now, we are planning for all St. Bernard Parish Public Schools and facilities to remain open and follow our regular schedules and routines, and will inform you of any changes or updates. The safety of our students, staff, and school families remains our top priority.

Please continue to monitor and follow our official pages for updates, and stay safe and weather aware.
