Happy heavenly birthday to Tom Mattern. Go Tigers!

We have so many fond memories at CFHS due to in large part to the teachers, coaches, staff members, and others that made Chagrin what it is. Recently we just lost one of those special persons that had an impact on so many. Debi Shukys Gebler '75 spent a career as a secretary at both the high and middle schools, while she was also the cheerleading coach from 1982-2005. During the 1980s she would introduce the Mortimer mascot. A Chagrin Schools Hall of Fame inductee and a devoted volunteer to the CFAA, we send our thoughts and support to the Gebler Family.

Remembering Tom on his birthday. We can still hear him saying "Go Tigers!"

We know that many of you are in other Chagrin Facebook groups or have seen it posted, but if not, we wanted to share our condolences to the Trace family on the recent passing of Larry. A '62 graduate, he was a fixture at the Federated Church and the school for decades. We were certainly fortunate for Larry's dedication to our community.

Remembering Eric Carmen and the Raspberries, who are pictured here playing at CFHS homecoming dance in fall 1970. These photos are in the 1971 yearbook. Other musicians in the band here are Jim Bonfanti on drums, Wally Bryson on guitar and Dave Smalley on bass.
