Had an awesome time running Canton Hall of Fame Half Marathon today at 24 weeks pregnant!

Baby and I finished in 2:03 without any pain! 😎

Gliding Stars, an adaptive ice skating program, has been a staple for me since I volunteered for the program at Findlay in 2008. I had the opportunity to meet some amazing individuals and make so many long lasting friendships.

Since I cherished my time in college so much, Rachel, another Findlay alum, and I created our own chapter back home after we graduated, Gliding Stars of Northeast Ohio (NEO) in 2016.

In 6 years, it has grown from 13 skaters to 35 skaters! .. and that was with COVID in the mix.

Today is our 6th adaptive ice skating show, and I couldn’t be anymore proud of the skaters and volunteers!

Each year, we continue to grow our mighty Northeast Ohio chapter, so I am already excited to see what is in store for next season! ⛸️

Our amazing nonprofit, adaptive ice skating program, Gliding Stars of Northeast Ohio, is having their 6th annual “Dance Party” ice show to showcase their talents to the community on Sunday, April 23rd from 12-2pm at Gilmour Ice Arena. Skaters with unique abilities will be performing ice skating routines to popular dance music. There will be a live DJ, food and so much more!

When I started this little nonprofit in 2016, we only had 13 skaters, which were mainly my previous/current students. Now in 2023, we have 35 amazing skaters and double the amount of local volunteers. ⛸️😍

Another charity art contest with ! This years theme was: Spider-verse.

Stop in from Wednesday, December 13th through Saturday, December 17th. Any patrons coming through the shop during that time will have the opportunity to donate money to the Cleveland Food Bank through their store and receive raffle tickets in return. Those tickets will be used in a basket raffle to win some amazing submissions.

Last year this unique event created over seventeen thousand meals!

Gliding Stars of Northeast Ohio is officially taking skaters and volunteers for our SIXTH (where did the time go?!) 2023 season!

Gliding Stars is an adaptive ice skating program that promotes an inclusive environment. Local volunteers help skaters achieve their goals on the ice and showcase their talents in a show open to the community. ⛸
