Hello Leal Families and welcome to another year at Leal Elementary! My name is Chris Sierra, PTA President. We are seeking your help in reaching our fundraising goals this year and hope you will do so by simply becoming a member of our PTA. With the challenges shared by many of us due to COVID-19, we have adjusted our fundraising goals from previous years but would still like to be able to provide the school with critical resources.

With your membership and donations PTA will be able to sponsor schoolwide subscriptions to Accelerated Reader and IXL Learning for all students. In addition, all teachers will be granted a materials allowance to help enhance their virtual teaching. Please check out our 2020-2021 Membership Flyer and consider joining today. Back from Washington DC, Mr. White is proudly showcasing our latest Blue Ribbon award plaque given by the U.S. Department of Education. Check out the smile on Mr. White’s face!!! Congrats to all the administrators, teachers, parents, and students of Leal Elementary!

If you’re interested, the plaques are on display in the front office. Totally instagram-worthy!

It's official. 2005, 2013, and now... 2019. This is a day that's been 5-years in the making.

Every year the U. S. Department of Education seeks out and celebrates the best of the best of American schools with the National Blue Ribbon award. National Blue Ribbon schools serve as models of effective school practices for state, district educators, and other schools throughout the nation.

We were just announced as one of the 362 schools - out of 132,800+ public AND private schools across the country - to receive the National Blue Ribbon award. This makes us the one of the top 0.002% of ALL schools this year to be awarded this distinction. To be awarded once is an achievement in itself... BUT to win it THREE TIMES. WOW!!! Some call that a 'dynasty'. =) And just for reference, Whitney High School, arguably the top California high school, has just one more than us.

This is a great recognition that should be celebrated by all - including administrators, teacher, students, and parents, alike. We did this together, and we all should be very proud ourselves. Leal Pride!!!

We want to invite all parents to join Leal PTA for the 2019-2020 school year! We need your help to fund all the amazing programs we hold for our little Leal Lions!

Your membership is very important to Leal PTA, because we DO NOT ask our parents and kids to sell tchotchkes (yeah, that's you spell that, you're welcome) or wrapping paper. We know that, in the end, its you that will be buying that stuff. Instead, Leal PTA's biggest fundraiser comes from parent-membership.
