Today was Music Monday. It started out with rain that forced us to turn the traditional daily schedule upside down. Sectionals in the morning, with Field Drill Work in the afternoon. However, this group of kids did not let that faze them one bit. They still did fantastic at putting half (9 sets) of our Part 2 of the show on the field today.

As we prepare for our second week of Band Camp this week, we wanted to take a moment to introduce the group of students who are working really hard to help us to be the best we can be.

Meet Our 2026-2027 Marching Lions Band Student Leadership Team Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

The members of the Marching Lions Band work hard over the two weeks of band camp. They are out on the field in the mornings working at improving their fundamentals, and then apply those to the process of putting their field production on the field. Then they come inside for lunch. In the afternoons, they break out into sectionals to continue learning, memorizing, and refining the show music in preparation for taking it out to the field. Once this is done, they take a "Snack Break" to fuel them for the remainder of the day. After the break, a little more time is spent in sectionals working on "stands tunes" for football games and music for Homecoming.

These snack breaks this week were made possible through the generous donations of a couple of families, and we want to be sure to say, "Thank you!"
