📣Welcome to Faculty Fridays! Meet Rebecca Chenette, who has taught in AFA's Logic school for 7 years and is a Falcon alumna. Her favorite books to read with her students are The Horse and His Boy and The Last Battle. She is excited to add a Rhetoric class to her schedule next year as she teaches Economics to our seniors. Fun facts about Miss Chenette - she is interested in entrepreneurship in developing countries and speaks some Bengali from her travels. We’re so glad you’re a part of Team AFA, Miss Chenette!

And that’s a wrap, Falcons! Kindergarten through 12th grades gathered at our Closing Ceremonies to celebrate a successful 2025-2026 school year. We enjoyed recognizing our wonderful families, volunteers, and staff, and promoting students to the next grade level. Enjoy your well-earned summer break, Falcons, and we look forward to welcoming you back in August!

⚽️🏀🏈🏐A big shout out to Falcon Athletics! Our Sports Awards night was a great chance to recognize these outstanding athletes for their skill, sportsmanship, and contributions to their teams. Way to go, Falcons, and congratulations to all!

As the school year winds to a close, we say a very fond farewell to Mr. Bracewell, who is retiring after 5 years of teaching science and leading the chess club at AFA. Known for his heartfelt prayers during morning devotions, Mr. Bracewell's patience, humor, and deep care for his students will be missed by all.
Mr. Bracewell, we wish you a very relaxing next chapter - full of lots of time on the golf course! ⛳

🏆Congratulations to the Upper Campus award winners! Our 7th- 12th graders came together to celebrate their accomplishments this year. Students were recognized for academic achievements, distinction in specific subjects, out-of-the-box thinking, and ingenuity. Also awarded were this year's outstanding senior thesis and the 2025-2026 House cup winner..........House Rome! A great way to wrap up the year, Falcons!

Huzzah, Lords and Ladies! Our 2nd and 5th grade classes stepped back in time for their Medieval Feast. This favorite yearly tradition brings history to life in a fun and engaging way. After the 5th grade living history presentations, students enjoyed traditional food in the feast hall and activities from this time period - including a lively round of medieval dancing!

🏎️Mrs. Chatham’s 8th graders wrapped up their study of the laws of science by crafting race cars out of common materials. Students referenced Newton’s 3 laws of motion, Bernoulli’s Principle, and their lessons on aerodynamics, friction, and mechanical advantage to create a vehicle powered by a mousetrap. Each pair worked together to build one car with the goal of maximum speed and one for distance. They presented their designs to fellow students, then tested their creations in a race. It was a fun, hands-on way to capstone this year’s scientific studies!
