Today we recognize Juneteenth, a celebration and commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States. Also known as Emancipation Day or Freedom Day, Juneteenth marks a day in 1865 when enslaved Texans learned they would be free, two months after the end of the Civil War and two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation.

Today our former Bulls that will be graduating from Centreville High School came to walk the halls one last time! Once a Bull, always a Bull!

Tomorrow, Thursday 06/11, is Wear Sunglasses to School Spirit Day! All students and staff are invited to come to school wearing their coolest shades!

We reached our school goal of achieving 95% positive attendance this last full week of school… so Mr. Marotta will be taped to the wall next week!
