✨ Showcase Opening Number ✨

During regionals, there are a few dancers who are selected and asked to be a part of the opening number performed at the Nationals Showcase.

At our Regionals in May, THREE of our studio dancers were selected, and all three girls said YES!

Remember when I said it was a packed week?

Well, Lacie, Kk, and Lala’s week looked like this: Rehearsal, Competition, repeat.

And there is no tired like dance tired 🥱

BUT, they showed out for the showcase! I wish we could have videoed it to share because those girls were on stage and in the crowd smiling from ear to ear, just loving what they were doing. It may or may not have brought tears to watch them just love it.

The best part? Their teammates showing up in support and cheering them on when they could have been at the beach or somewhere else. We are so proud of all of them! 🩷

I know I’ve slacked on competition updates, so please excuse me! This week has been PACKED!

✨ Day 3 ✨

Our girls left their hearts on the stage for the small groups and duets. “The Truth”, “Boss”, “Survivor”, and “Warrior” were all back to back and each danced with full effort. In the end, they’re coming home with some High Golds! “The Truth” also received a Judge’s Award for “Terrific Timing” from Julia Lyall! 🩷

Competitions are always tough. You meet dancers from all over the country, and sometimes it can be intimidating. But, I can proudly say these girls danced with confidence and made friends with so many unique individuals that will hopefully lead to lifetime memories and friendships. From cheering other studios on stage to supporting them after awards were given, it was an amazing experience for everyone. 🩷

This competition was probably one of the hardest by far, but the girls seemed to enjoy the most. Not because of the competition itself, but because the atmosphere and comradere from the other dance studios made it feel like family. 🩷

Again, I cannot say how proud I am of our girls. They came to dance, and left it out there. They definitely showed out for the legacy, and I couldn’t ask for anything more. ✨

Now time for them to have the next month off — until they start prep for next year! 😜🏆

Day 2 of Nationals ✨

Our Preteen’s & Senior competed their solos, and they all left their hearts on the stage. So much emotion, power, and story telling were expressed that it could be felt around the room!

Again, at this competition, routines compete in divisions based on each dancer’s logged studio training hours, making every achievement meaningful within its level.

🏆 Lala - Small (Encore Division) High Gold
🏆 Lacie - It’s Getting Bad Again (Elite Division) Elite Gold
🏆 Lacie - Sandman (Elite Division) Elite Gold

Lacie’s “It’s Getting Bad Again” also received the 3rd Pace Overall for her division!

We could not be any more proud of these girls and their love to dance. If there’s anything I could teach them that is more important than the trophies, awards, or recognition, it’s to tell their stories, to let their hearts express who they are, and to let their dance speak the words they cannot. 🩷

What an amazing first day at Nationals! 🩷 We are so proud of our dancers for representing our studio with confidence, heart, and incredible sportsmanship.

🏆 Millie – High Gold (Premier Division) 🌟 An incredible accomplishment in her very first year of competition!
🏆 Sara Rose – Elite Gold (Premier Division) & Judges Award: “Rockstar!” ⭐
🏆 Tori – Gold (Encore Division) 🌟 In her first year of competition, she had to compete up a division because of her age, and she handled the challenge with confidence and grace!

Biloxi, MS we are coming for you!

Please join me in wishing our girls goodluck as they take on the Elite Dance Cup Nationals this week! I am so proud of the hard work they’ve put into their dancing careers, and cannot wait to cheer them on this week.

Pre-Comp Dance Camp was a success. I only got a couple of pictures bc I'm horrible about things like that!!
