It’s come to our attention recently with school starting back there have been an abundance of families without car seats for their children.
During multiple traffic stops our department has encountered many families struggling to get by, including the ability to afford car seats due to unfortunate circumstances. Instead of ticketing said individuals two families have now received free car seats from our department.

We ask that if you know someone who could benefit from this program to please reach out and fill out an application to receive one. This program is solely funded by donations from our Officers, Town Council, and community members, and is not funded through tax payer money.

If you would like to support this program please come by Ider Town Hall with a car seat or monetary donation to help. The last thing we want is a child to be injured due to financial constraints of a family member or guardian. As of now we have six car seats left ready for donation, please follow the application process below if you are in immediate need of a car seat.

Please understand and remember, there will be more need than we can provide for everyone, but we at the Town of Ider are committed to providing the most we can out of our own personal resources to support everyone in need.

1. Name.
2. Current address.
3. Child’s name, Date of birth, and weight.
4. Relationship to the child receiving the car seat.
5. A brief summary on the circumstances of the situation.(This will help us determine who is a higher candidate due to limited resources).
All applications will remain private.
