🎉 Meet Mrs. Jayci Gesling!

Mrs. Gesling is joining CHS as our new Spanish teacher and Junior Class Sponsor for the 2026-2027 school year — and she's no stranger to Centralia! A native of our community, Mrs. Gesling has been waiting for the chance to bring her talents back home, and we are so glad she did.

She and her husband Jimmy (a CHS alum himself!) are raising three kids — Micah, Ainsley, and Gideon. When she's not teaching, you might find her reaching for the chocolate stash in her desk drawer. 🍫

Her advice for students on day one? Come with an open mind — what you experience in the classroom will serve you for years to come. We couldn't agree more!

🎉 Meet Mr. Max Eckerle!

Mr. Eckerle is joining CHS as our new World History teacher and will also be serving as an assistant coach for middle school football and baseball. He comes to us after a student teaching experience here in Centralia that made such an impression; he decided to stay — and we are so glad he did!

When he's not in the classroom or on the field, you'll find him debating whether Star Wars or The Sandlot is the greatest movie of all time 🎬 — and keeping a stash of gummy candy close by for fuel.

His advice for students on day one? Come ready to learn, and be ready for bumps along the road. We think that's pretty solid wisdom.
