Kaskaskia College is conducting a search for Machining and Manufacturing Program Coordinator. The position is responsible for developing new machining courses and teaching up to 29 contact hours per year. The Kaskaskia College Industrial Technology program will benefit from a $6 Million State of Illinois grant to build a new Manufacturing Training Academy at the KC main campus. The KC Industrial Technology will be able spread out and make even more equipment even more available to students.

Thank you to all of the industry partners, business partners, and civic partners who submitted letters of support for this exciting project. We are a little cramped at the Crisp Center. It will be exciting to spread out even more equipment in our new building on main campus that we will again be sharing with other trades programs at KC. The new center will be home to the Industrial Technology, Welding, HVAC, and Carpentry programs.

We look forward to training even more students in our new facility, as well as hosting new potential students who want to learn more about the excellent pay and benefits a career in high-tech manufacturing can offer.

🌟🚨 BIG NEWS FOR KASKASKIA COLLEGE! 🚨🌟

We are excited to announce that Kaskaskia College has been awarded a $6 MILLION capital grant to build the new KC Manufacturing Academy! 🎉🏗️

The new 37,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility will be built on KC’s main campus in Centralia and will be dedicated to advanced manufacturing and industrial trades education and training.

For the first time in KC history, we’ll have a facility designed specifically around the needs of our manufacturing and industrial trades students, with opportunities for training in automation, CNC machining, industrial maintenance, logistics, robotics, and more.

The grant will allow KC to make this significant investment in our region without a required College match - expanding opportunities for our students while supporting the workforce needs of local employers.

This is a tremendous investment in our students, our workforce, our manufacturing partners, and the future of the communities we serve. 💙

Congratulations to Lucas Kendall, Industrial Technology Class of 2026. Lucas will be graduating from Kaskaskia College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Industrial Technology. Lucas also earned five SACA certifications (Smart Automation Certification Alliance) this year. Lucas passed his third-party credential exams in Electric Motor Control Systems, Variable Frequency Drive Systems, Motor Control Troubleshooting, Programmable Controller Systems, and Robotic Operations. Lucas works as an Electrical Technician at Intermountain Electronics in Centralia. Congratulations.

The Kaskaskia College Industrial Technology Department proudly awarded 14 SACA certifications this week. SACA is the Smart Automation Certification Alliance and offers industrial automation certificaitons in many areas. Students in the Kaskaskia College Industrial Technology program were tested this week in Electrical Systems, Robotic Operations, Motor Control Troubleshooting, and Programmable Logic Control. We were proud to award 14 certifications this week. Congratulations to three of the students below (Raymond, Mel, and Russell). Kaskaskia College will be offering our Industrial Robotics course again this summer with an opportunity to obtain a SACA certification credential.
