School Starts Tomorrow! 🎉
We are excited to welcome our students back for another great school year! Please take a few minutes to review the important information below regarding school hours, arrival and dismissal procedures, attendance, and school expectations.

Office Hours: 8:50 AM–4:00 PM
School Hours
Please arrive between 8:50–9:00 AM if your student will be eating breakfast at school.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 9:10 AM 3:30 PM
Wednesday – Early Release 9:10 AM 2:00 PM
First Day Reminders
Doors will open at 8:50 AM. Parents and caregivers are welcome to walk their students to class on the first day at 9:00 AM.
Please plan for a quick drop-off, as teachers will be welcoming many new students. All adults must be out of the building by 9:08 AM.
If you would like to schedule a time to speak with your child’s teacher, please contact the school to arrange a meeting.

🚗 Arrival & Drop-Off Safety Reminders
Student safety is our top priority. Please follow these important arrival procedures each morning:
No drop-offs are permitted on Summa Street in front of the school. All student pick-ups and drop-offs must take place along the side of the building in the designated area.
No student drop-offs are permitted before 8:50 AM. We do not have adult supervision available before that time, including crosswalk support and student monitoring.
If you are dropping your child off in the morning, please pull forward as far as possible in the designated drop-off zone. Staff will be in the area at 8:50 AM and will assist with safely releasing students from vehicles.
Please do not release students from vehicles before 8:50 AM.
Students should be ready to exit the vehicle promptly. If you need additional time to assist your child, please park in the parking lot or pull all the way forward in the drop-off zone. This helps keep traffic moving and increases safety near the crosswalk.

End-of-Day Reminders: Student Safety & Dismissal Procedures
At Jefferson Lincoln, student safety is our top priority. In alignment with Centralia School District expectations, we kindly ask all families to follow these important end-of-day procedures.
After-School Arrangements
Please make all after-school plans before your student arrives at school. Last-minute changes cannot be accommodated.
Deadline for Changes
All end-of-day plan changes must be communicated by an adult and received by the school no later than:
2:30 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
1:00 PM on Wednesdays
This allows enough time for us to notify students and staff appropriately.
Default Dismissal Plan
If we do not hear from a custodial parent or guardian by the appropriate deadline, your child will follow their regular dismissal plan (bus, walk, pick-up, etc.).
Signing Students Out
To maintain a safe and smooth dismissal process, students may not be signed out after 3:00 PM on regular school days or 1:30 PM on Wednesdays, except in emergency situations.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our students safe and ensuring an efficient end-of-day process. Thank you for your continued support!
🥤 Food & Technology Expectations
Students are not permitted to bring or consume soda or energy drinks while on campus. This policy supports our commitment to healthy nutritional choices and an environment that is conducive to learning.
Additionally, eating and snacking while using school laptops is strictly prohibited. This expectation helps protect school technology from spills, crumbs, and other debris that can cause damage and ensures that devices remain clean and functional for student use.
📱Cellphones/Smartwatches will be turned off and placed in student's backpacks. Please contact the office if you need to reach your student.
📚 Attendance Matters – Every Day, All Day!
Be Present. Be Engaged. Achieve More.
Consistent, full-day attendance is critical to student success. Every minute of instruction counts, and arriving late or leaving early can significantly disrupt learning.
We understand that life happens. Doctor, dentist, and counselor appointments sometimes fall during school hours, and after-school availability can be limited. However, when students are healthy and do not have a scheduled appointment or other necessary absence, being at school on time and for the full day is essential.
According to the State of Washington, 18 absences—whether excused or unexcused—within a school year are considered chronic absenteeism, which can lead to truancy concerns.
