Last Wednesday, we were honored to welcome members of the Heimann family for the dedication of the Joseph H. Heimann Classroom.

As Kaskaskia College’s first Board President, Heimann played a pivotal role in the College’s earliest days—helping guide its transition from Centralia Township Junior College, secure a new campus location, hire its founding president, and establish a permanent institution of higher education. His vision was rooted in the belief that strong communities are built through investment in education. We celebrate his extraordinary leadership and the lasting impact of his service to KC and the communities we serve.

We are proud to dedicate this classroom in his honor, and we are grateful to the Heimann family for joining us in commemorating his enduring legacy!

October is National Planned Giving Month!
A planned gift to the Kaskaskia College Foundation is an opportunity to create a lasting legacy for generations to come. As one of our region’s most enduring institutions, KC has been a catalyst for community transformation for over 85 years. 💙

Your planned gift can help sustain the work that reaches far beyond the classroom:

🎓 Student scholarships that change lives
🛠️ Innovative programs that train our workforce
🎭 Cultural offerings that enrich our communities
🤝 Community services that make a difference

This National Planned Giving Month, consider how you can contribute to our mission of supporting, sustaining, and elevating student success. Learn more about planned giving by contacting Executive Director Michael Christensen at (618) 545-3069 or [email protected].

For some adults, back-to-school season means taking the steps toward earning their GED. At Kaskaskia College, Adult Basic Education provides instruction at no cost - but GED testing fees can still create a barrier for students ready to cross the finish line.
Your $75 gift can cover the complete GED exam for an adult learner, helping them earn a credential, pursue better opportunities, and show the next generation that it’s never too late to change your future. 🎓
