If you have a 8-12ish dancer that would like to dance their way through the story of The Nutcracker, be sure to sign up for this year's camp!

Nutcracker Boot Camp - for ages 8-12ish
July 6-10, 9:30am-12noon Cost is $95 for the week
Get yourself ready for Nutcracker auditions in the fall! Each day will include a ballet class and activities to help you learn more about the history and story of this magical ballet. Activities will include learning some choreography, basic stage combat, crafts and games. Perfect for those new to ballet, as well as those currently in Explore Ballet 2, Ballet 1 and Ballet 2a/2b.

Our first summer program is only one month away! Whether or not your dancer has participated in "The Nutcracker" before, our Nutcracker Boot Camp is a great way to learn more about this magical ballet, while upping their skills.

UPDATE!! THE TICKETS HAVE BEEN CLAIMED!

This is Mick, studio owner and teacher. I won my first round in the 95.7 FM Tournament of Champions trivia contest. Not only do I comeback next week for Round 2, but I also picked up a 4 pack of tickets to see the Mariners play the Angels on Tuesday June 30. It’s also Cal Raleigh Funko POP night! I’m not sure where the seats are (I get them a couple of days before the game), so I don’t know their value. If anyone wants them, I can give them up for a $50 donation to CBA’s Nutcracker Outreach Program. That $50 is for all FOUR tickets. If interested, please send a DM.

Hey Everyone, this is Mickey, studio co-owner and teacher. On Monday June 8 at 7:45 AM, I will be participating in 95.7 FM The Jet's Puget Sound Showdown Tournament of Champions trivia contest. The last time I participated in this, I came in 2nd place. If you're available, tune in to find out if my encyclopedic knowledge of Barney Miller, breakfast cereal mascots, and the works of Judy Blume will finally be of some benefit. Any prizes I win will be donated to raise money for our Nutcracker outreach program.

Sending out congratulations to CBA alum Tess McMurry, who was accepted into the Orchesis Dance Company at Central Washington University (CWU) Orchesis Dance Company is a pre-professional, audition-only dance company that performs a range of styles including contemporary, ballet and tap.

Intermediate-advanced level ballet dancers! Join us for our intensive this August! Taught by regular CBA staff plus guest teachers. Today, we introduce one of the guest teachers who will join us this year:

Joel Myers received the majority of his training at the Evergreen City Ballet under artistic director Wade Walthall. He has performed as a company member with the Evergreen City Ballet, Tacoma City Ballet, Corpo and as a Principle Artist with Spectrum Dance Theater under Artistic Director Donald Byrd. He has also performed as a guest artist with Seattle Opera, Tacoma Opera, The 5th Ave Theater, Ballet Northwest, Ballet Bellevue, DASS Dance, Coriolis Dance Collective, Dance Peninsula Ballet and the Vuelta La Luna Circus. Joel has taught and choreographed for Evergreen City Ballet, the Tacoma School of the Arts, the school of Spectrum Dance Theater, Centralia Ballet Academy, Tacoma City Ballet and Metropolitan Ballet of Tacoma.

Open to students currently in ballet 3 or above - or the equivalent at another school (generally minimum of 4 years formal training, ages 12 and up). Ballet 2b students, talk to us if you are interested.
Week 1: August 3-7 - 10am-3:30pm
Week 2: August 10-14 - 10am-3:30pm
Cost: $180 per week or $340 for both weeks
