Hi everyone! I’m personally asking for a little help from our electrology community as we wrap up the first round of data collection for our E2C research.

We are keeping this first survey open through September 15, 2026, and then we’ll be closing this round so we can begin analyzing the data and completing our first research poster and paper.

If you are an electrologist, I would really appreciate it if you would share the original E2C post with your clients and encourage anyone who has received electrolysis to participate.

And if you have personally received electrolysis yourself, you are welcome to participate too!

One of the things that is really important to us with this research is capturing experiences from across our entire profession—not just one type of patient or one reason for seeking treatment. We want to hear from people receiving electrolysis for gender-affirming care, PMOS/PCOS, hirsutism, hormonally influenced hair growth, unwanted facial or body hair, and all of the many other reasons people come through our doors.

The survey is completely anonymous and looks at things like confidence, emotional well-being, social comfort, daily life, and the personal impact electrolysis has had.

Our initial findings will help inform our upcoming WPATH research presentation, but this is also part of a much larger effort to begin documenting the impact of electrolysis with actual research and patient-reported data.

Please participate or share with your clients before September 15th. Even sharing it with a few clients helps us broaden the population represented in this first dataset.

We’re looking for participants for an anonymous research survey on the psychological and personal impact of electrolysis.

This research is being conducted through the Electrology Education Coalition (E2C) and will help inform our upcoming WPATH research presentation, as well as broader research into the impact of electrolysis for gender-affirming care, PMOSPCOS, hirsutism, hormonally influenced hair growth, and other reasons people seek permanent hair removal.

If you are an electrolysis client:
We would love for you to complete the survey and share your experience. The survey is completely anonymous and is open to anyone who has received electrolysis, regardless of the reason for treatment.

If you are an electrologist:
Please consider sharing this survey link with your clientele. We are hoping to gather responses from a broad range of electrolysis clients and treatment experiences.

The survey explores areas such as confidence, emotional well-being, social comfort, daily life, and the overall personal impact of electrolysis.

We have a really big announcement? 💙⚡

We’re moving!

On November 1, Zap Master Electrology is relocating just 2½ blocks away to our new home at:

Three years ago, we opened our doors with a dream of creating more than just an electrolysis clinic. Today, we’re proud to be home to Washington’s first Workforce Board-approved electrology school, an incredible team of providers, expanding laser services, and community partnerships centered on education, advocacy, and gender-affirming care.

Our new space gives us room to grow with:
