We want to extend a huge thank you to Maschhoffs for their generous $5,000 donation toward the construction of our new playground.

This gift brings us closer to providing an inclusive and accessible space where all of our students can play and grow together. We are incredibly grateful to have community partners like Maschhoffs who share our commitment to supporting the students at KSED.

We are still working to reach our final goal for the Bridges Learning Center Playground Construction Fund. If you or your business would like to help us complete this project, please contact Kaskaskia Special Education District for more details on how to contribute. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us build a better environment for our kids.

We are so excited for Kaitie start her school psych career with us and be part of our team!

With just one month left in the spring semester, we’re starting to feel a little sentimental as this chapter begins to wind down 🥲
From our second years stepping into internship to our interns becoming school psychologists, there are so many exciting transitions happening!

Join us in congratulating the first student being celebrated, Kaitie, as she turns the page from SIUE grad student intern to real life school psychologist!

She’s going to do amazing things with Kaskaskia Special Education District #801 during the 2026–2027 school year.

We’re wrapping up our semester by congratulating our former GOCAPS president, Arabella, on her accepted position as a school psychologist with Kaskaskia Special Education District #801! ☀️🧡

Yay, Arabella! This is just the beginning, we know you’re going to do amazing things and can’t wait to see what you accomplish.

Arabella and the rest of our interns are graduating with their Specialist Degree and our second year, Taryn, is getting her Masters tonight!! 🍾🎉

We are thrilled to celebrate Abby Clark, for receiving the prestigious Iva Dean Cook Award from the Division on Career Development and Transition (DCDT), a division of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC).

This national award recognizes an educator who demonstrates outstanding commitment and service to the career education and transition of students with disabilities—and anyone who knows Abby knows just how fitting this honor is.

Abby continually displays tireless dedication to supporting students, families, and staff. Her passion for helping students discover their potential, build independence, and prepare for meaningful futures shines through in everything she does.
