The Kids Community Dirt Park and outdoor learning center is a project from Direct Involvement Recreation Teaching. DIRT will provide a facility to teach kids about, soil webs and nutrients, composting, basic gardening, rainwater catchment systems, solar energy, bee pollination, and what ever else might fall under direct involvement recreation. Our hope is to include mentoring/teaching/outreach/ca
reer building skills in the coming school year. This park is intended to be a true urban experience, and has blossomed with the resources contributed by it's community. We have numerous donors that have come together with materials to build this park for the children of Central Point. This park was built on top of an old parking lot behind a building that is over 100 years old. With the help of the community, we have done some amazing things with this little piece of land and we hope it will be truly useful to the kids, and all of Central Point.
