Seen here is a group of our FlexTime J.D. Manhattan students outside of the NYC Criminal Courthouse. While visiting a working courthouse in the very first semester is unique in legal education, at Touro Law it’s a cornerstone of our first-year experience – whether you are a full-time, part-time or FlexTime J.D. student!
We designed our FlexTime J.D. Court Observation Program with our hybrid students' busy schedules in mind. Guided by Associate Dean Myra Berman, students have the option to join escorted group visits led by court attorneys and experienced practitioners or complete self-scheduled visits—including weeknight or weekend arraignments at 100 Centre Street. Our students see justice in action during their very first weeks of law school!

Big news from Touro Law Center! Recognizing the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on legal practice, Touro Law has officially launched a new AI Graduation Requirement for all incoming students.

To prepare practice-ready, tech-fluent future attorneys, all incoming students will complete three modules of the Procertas AI Suite paired with a live, collaborative seminar focused on the practical and ethical dimensions of AI in law. This curriculum covers:
🔹 Foundational AI literacy & capabilities
🔹 Core ethical duties, client confidentiality & supervision
🔹 Risk management (hallucinations, algorithmic bias, overreliance)
🔹 Responsible workflow integration into everyday legal tasks

“Our goal is to ensure our students enter the legal profession not just aware of modern technology, but fully equipped to evaluate and utilize it responsibly,” said Dean Elena Langan.

After a successful, decades-long career in commercial real estate, Howard Goldfarb turned 60 and decided to embark on a new intellectual challenge. Driven by a desire to show his children that it is never too late to pursue a passion, he enrolled in Touro Law’s FlexTime J.D. program, at the Long Island campus.
