Today, we are shining a light on our incredible infant room teacher, Ms.Jayna! Nurturing our littlest blessings takes an extraordinary amount of patience, gentleness, and love.

Spirit Week was a hit at The Goddard School of Centerville!

From September 28 to October 2, our classrooms were full of color, creativity, and community. Families showed up on Family/Community Day, hearts filled the room on Heart Day, orange shirts brightened Orange Shirt Day, crazy hair took over Thursday, and Friday closed the week with kids’ music.

We were creative. We were kind. We showed our spirit.

Good coffee, brighter days. ☕🍩

Thank you to our friends at Coffee Hub Ohio for partnering with us and bringing their espresso bar, coffee, and hot chocolate to The Goddard School of Centerville for International Coffee Day — and a huge thank you to our amazing PTA for sponsoring the morning beverages.

It was a pleasure to give back to our school families in a small way and start the day together with a warm cup, a donut, and a lot of smiles. We’re grateful for neighbors who show up for our school community.

If you haven’t visited Coffee Hub yet, they’re right here in Centerville at 450 N Main St. Phenomenal coffee, and a mission that makes every cup mean a little more.

Spirit Week starts Monday! 🎉

We can’t wait to see everyone show their spirit September 28–October 2. Each day has a simple, fun theme—dress up if you’d like, or just come ready to celebrate kindness and community with us.

Dress as a member of your family or a community helper (police officer, mail carrier, nurse, chef, and more).

Day 1 of Picture Day — done! 📸

So many big smiles and proud little poses today. Our children did an amazing job waiting their turn, following directions, and showing off their personalities for the camera.

Thank you to our photographer and our teachers for making the day run so smoothly.

More classes tomorrow — we can’t wait to see the rest of those smiles!

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
