Same dose since 2019.
Feeling worse every year.
Labs “look great.”
Cool cool cool.
Your estrogen doesn’t just politely decline, it spikes all over the place first. And when it spikes, your body makes more of the protein that hauls thyroid hormone around.
More of your dose gets held instead of used. Same pill, less of it doing anything.
Then there’s your ferritin, which I bring up constantly for a reason. You need iron to make thyroid hormone in the first place. And if you’re taking your iron anywhere near your thyroid pill, you’re canceling your own dose. Space them four hours, I’m begging.
Hashimoto’s also loves to get louder right about now, so your thyroid is putting out less than it was when somebody picked that number for you six years ago.
And a TSH only panel can’t tell you which of those it is. Which is how you end up “normal” and still crawling through your day.
