The third grade spends time reading about Laura Ingalls Wilder. As part of the activities they take a trip to De Smet to visit her homestead. It was a fun time had by all!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to these smiling faces! The admin team celebrated the staff all week, from a caffeine cart to provide their Monday energy boost, to a banana split bar for a sweet treat on Tuesday, a made-to-order omelette bar on Wednesday morning, their favorite Dakota Fizz drink yesterday, and a Popcorn Bar today. This is a week to show them our appreciation, but we hope they know how much we appreciate them every day!

We are blessed with the best at Centerville and couldn't be more proud of the team of educators in this building. This is a special group of people who chose to devote their lives to serving others, impacting the lives of countless kids year after year. A teacher will impact the lives of thousands of students over the course of their career. Thank you teachers for showing up for kids in so many ways every day and being role models for them! You are appreciated!! 🌪️💪🏻

5/7/2026: 5-12 Spring Concert and Music Awards tonight in the Purple gym starting at 7 pm. We will attempt to livestream the program. Please be aware there are changes to the software so we may encounter some troubles. We will get things fixed as quickly as possible if we have errors.

Congratulations to Chloe Edberg on being selected MVP of the game in the last softball game! The Bon Homme softball team votes on a player from the opposing team to be the MVP of the game. It is based on leadership, sportsmanship and skill. Chloe was chosen as their MVP and was given a softball keychain. The Bon Homme coaches praised her for her grit, support for her pitcher and for how she never gave up even though her team was losing pretty badly—she kept a positive attitude and continued to lift up her team and encourage them to keep fighting.

1st Grade was our second class to use our Farm to School Culinary Kit. Their lesson was titled "A fruit is a suitcase for seeds". They loved the recipe, which included rice cakes, yogurt, fruit, and honey. More kids learning where their food comes from and enjoying a delicious treat together!
