Buffy’s Studio B Alumni Spotlight 💗
Jerica is hands down one of the nicest human beings you will ever meet. Not ONCE did she walk into dance with a bad attitude or even hint at being unhappy, frustrated or upset. This girl absolutely loved being at the studio, and expressed her gratitude often. She was so easy to teach and an excellent role model in the studio then, and still today!
I have two great memories of Jerica. The first one was on picture day, her very first year of dance. I think she was 8 or 9. I had her pose in a tendu and her FEET. I remember saying to her mom, “Oh, she’s going to be GOOD!!! Look at her feet!” The second one was at a competition when she got a judge’s choice award. I never care about trophies and honestly couldn’t tell you what place anyone got a year ago, let alone a decade ago. But judge’s choice awards are special. Jerica got the Gumby Award. If you’ve even watched her dance, you know why. This girl is beyond flexible!
I am so grateful to have Jerica now working at the studio. She continues to be an amazing role model. She is patient, kind and always so supportive! We are lucky to have her!
From Jerica- “I truly can’t say enough good things about my experience with you and at the studio from the first day I walked in! I truly wouldn’t be who I am if it wasn’t for you and the studio!
Dancing at Buffy’s Studio B & Company has taught me so much more than just learning choreography. It taught me self-confidence, the importance of always working hard, and to never give up—even when something doesn’t work or isn’t perfect. It taught me how to work as a team, support others, and so much more.
Buffy’s is not only a place to dance and learn new skills; it’s a second family where I have always felt loved, supported, and included. I am beyond honored to now have the opportunity to teach at the studio that helped shape me into the person I am today.”
