Things didn’t go our way tonight as we got beat 46-38 at Davis co to end our season!

As I have had a little time to tonight to think about things…I’m really proud of this group of girls and how far they have come in such a short time.

Two seasons ago most of these girls were Freshman that got thrown to the fire in varsity competition and struggled with a 2-19 record. When I took over the next season I told them that the losing stops now! We will find a way to be successful, and my coaching staff laid out a plan for success. These girls went to work and believed in the process and finished with a 17-6 record with the help of two seniors (Taliyah Raub and All Stater Adrian Howard) leading this young group of sophs.

This season these now Juniors had to expand their roles and find a way to replace the senior leadership that we had lost from the year before and replace 20 points and 20 rebounds a game that we had relied on from Adriana Howard. Most people thought this group would struggle to find success (maybe even me a little) but No big deal, this group went to work, everyone stepped their game up, and believed in the plan and we finished this season with a 15-7 record and have everyone back next season!

There are levels to this thing, you don’t just show up and be successful. You have to put the work in and fight through the struggles and the adversity. This group had continued to do that and I am really excited for what is ahead of this group next season!

Really tough win against a good Sigourney team tonight, 58-50. Ups our final regular season record to 15-6. Next game is 1st round of regionals vs Davis Co. at Bloomfield on Saturday Feb. 14th starting at 7 pm. Kid captains tonight were Kacey Kirby and Peyton Barger, thanks for hanging out with us.

*****Another Schedule Change*****
Due to low numbers for Sigourney, the JV girl's game has now been cancelled. The JV boys will now play at 5 pm at Lakeview, Varsity girls to follow.

The JV game tomorrow vs. Sigourney will be only a half due to their low numbers. It will start at 5:15 with the varsity girl's game to follow.

Good win at home against Eddyville 47-39. Moves our record to 13-6 overall and 8-5 in the SCC. JV had a really nice win tonight also. Our kid Captains were Clara Sacco and Camilia Rook, thanks for hanging out with us. Next game is Friday Feb. 6th at Davis Co, 5 pm start for the JV.
