At Wild Child Nature School, our little explorers are gearing up for one of our favorite days of the year! This Wednesday, they’ll come together to celebrate with a day full of hiking, outdoor play, and the chance to show off the skills they’ve been building all year long.

The Hike-a-Thon is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a day of community, shared lunch, laughter, and togetherness in the great outdoors.

At Wild Child Nature School, we believe all children deserve to learn in the very best classroom—outside. We are coming alongside parents to raise dreamers and wonderers who ask big questions, resilient problem solvers, critical thinkers, and future stewards of the natural world.

The Hike-A-Thon helps support our mission of making childhood magical through open-ended nature play, hands-on exploration, and meaningful outdoor learning. This special day is a celebration of strength, perseverance, and muddy boots! Every mile hiked helps us continue raising independent, lifelong learners and dedicated stewards of the Earth. 🌎✨

Wild Child Nature Preschool is growing, and we’re looking for a Nature Educator / Preschool Play Facilitator to join our outdoor learning community.

Our days are spent:
🌱 Exploring the woods and creek beds
🌿 Following children’s curiosity
🪵 Learning through play, nature, and seasonal rhythms
🐞 Getting a little dirty and a lot inspired

This role is perfect for someone who:
✨ Loves working with children outdoors
✨ Values play-based, child-led learning
✨ Is calm, joyful, and grounded in nature
✨ Doesn’t mind mud, bugs, or weather changes

📍 Location: Outdoor / nature-based setting

Kiddos ages 7–10 meet weekly after lunch for an immersive afternoon of unstructured nature play, hands-on nature science, creative art experiences, and wilderness skill-building — all with a strong focus on becoming Leave No Trace stewards of the earth. 💚

Meeting weekly allows us to build a joyful, connected community where children foster a love for learning in nature, nurture meaningful friendships, and explore the magic of curiosity in every season.
