Join Emma for Protective Connections, a 3-session youth bullying education program designed specifically for parents and guardians!

Across three sessions, we’ll discuss:
1. What bullying actually is
2. What caregivers can do when bullying occurs
3. When bullying signals something deeper

- Tuesdays, September 8th, 15th & 22nd
- 5:30–6:30 PM
- Bernard Community Center, Inc, 113 Bernard Ave., Centerville, TN

This FREE program is a great opportunity for parents and caregivers to gain practical information and tools to help create safer, more supportive environments for youth.

We are excited to announce an opportunity to visit and learn from three agritourism operations. The second Exploring Agritourism for Your Farm: On-farm Insights will take place on September 17, 2026, from 8 am to 6 pm CDT. This tour will involve three stops in Kentucky that will give insight into several aspects of agritourism, including value-added product marketing, on-farm retail, farm tours, special events and food service.
• Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese
• Chaney’s Dairy Barn
• Jackson’s Orchard

Participants will meet a bus in Cross Plains, TN (Sumner County). We will travel together to network and learn along the way with educational presentations and facilitated discussions.

Registration is $45 per person. Scholarships available for dairy producers. Lunch and ice cream will be provided. Registration is required for this event and space is limited!

This event will fulfill one Tennessee Agricultural Enhancement Program (TAEP) Producer Diversification educational requirement for the following Producer Diversification sectors: Agritourism, Fruits and Vegetables, and Value-Added.

If you are a forage producer, either for grazing or hay, join us for the Master Forage Producer Field Day to be held in Perry County on Thursday, August 20 at 5:30 p.m.
The field day location is 4249 Highway 412 West in Linden.
It is open to anyone who has an interest in forage/grass/hay production. You do not have to own livestock to gain knowledge.

Are you interested in becoming more self-sufficient or learning more about producing food at home or on your farm?

Homegrown Essentials is ideal for anyone looking to develop practical skills in gardening, livestock care, food preservation, beekeeping, farm management, precision agriculture, and more!

Join us September 18 at the Middle Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center in Spring Hill for a day of research-based education and hands-on learning.

Hickman County Extension Agent Holden Cornett will be presenting on drones and their applications in precision agriculture and how it can help you.

The cost is $20 per adult, $10 for youth ages 9–19, and free for children 8 and younger. Lunch is included.

FCS Week Recap!

This past week has been full of learning, movement, connection, and FUN as we celebrated FCS Week! 💙🧡

From Chair Yoga and Stretch Your Gut to canning, Back-to-School Kids Camp, and preparing children for kindergarten, it was an incredible week showcasing just some of the many ways Family & Consumer Sciences supports individuals and families in our community!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, participated in our programs, and helped make FCS Week such a success! These pictures are just a glimpse of all the fun we had!
