Five-time Olympic medallist Tom Daley told Classic FM about his piano lessons – and his son’s love of the Star Wars soundtrack. ❤️

“I started having piano lessons just before lockdown happened,” Daley said. “And then lockdown happened and I didn't continue, but I think it's so cool to be able to sit at a piano, have the sheet music in front of you and be able to play. I would love to be able to do that in the future.”

He added: “There's a couple of film scores that are constantly on repeat in our house. At the moment, [my son] Robbie is obsessed with Star Wars. So, he loves the Star Wars soundtrack.”

We spoke to the diving champion at the Team GB House, where Classic FM and Global are official audio partner.

Playing the piano from the correct bench height is crucial to promote good technique and avoid injury. We look forward to using this new hydraulic bench at the studio this fall! It is much, much easier to adjust up/down compared to the old twist k**b bench. 🎹🎉

We're so sad to hear about the passing of our beloved piano tuner, Jack Hamilton. Thanks for always making sure our instruments were in tip top shape, for the conversations, for loving on our curious pets, and for the extra treat of listening to you tickle the ivories at the end of each piano service. You will be greatly missed, Jack.
