No school today, Friday, October 16, or Monday, October 19, for Fall Break!

We hope our Life Way families enjoy a long weekend to rest, recharge, spend time together, and enjoy a little fall fun.

We’ll see our Warriors back on campus Tuesday, October 20!

It’s officially Operation Christmas Child season at LWCS!

For many years, Life Way and our National Honor Society have participated in this incredible ministry, helping share the joy of receiving a gift and, most importantly, the hope found in Jesus with children around the world.

This year, we’re setting our biggest goal yet: 625 filled shoeboxes!

Here’s how it works:
• Pick up a shoebox from your Bible or homeroom teacher.
• Fill it with toys, school supplies, and/or children’s clothing. Instructions are included in each box.
• Include the $10 donation for each box, which helps cover shipping, Gospel materials, and training for local churches to share the love of Jesus with children in their communities.
• Return your filled shoebox by November 20.

🏆 Let the competition begin! Our grade groups will compete based on boxes packed per student:
• Preschool
• K–3rd Grade
• 4th–7th Grade
• 8th–12th Grade

(The winning group earns donuts!)

If we reach our school goal of 625 shoeboxes, EVERYONE earns a Sweatpants & Hat Day! 🎉

625 is a big goal, but together, we can do it! Let’s pack those boxes, Warriors!

Jesus was completely without sin, yet He took our sin upon Himself so that, through Him, we could be made righteous before God. What an incredible exchange. We bring our sin and receive His righteousness because of what Christ has done for us.

As we reflect on this verse throughout October, we encourage our Life Way students and families to take time to read it, meditate on it, and work on memorizing it.

“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

Our 5th-grade scientists turned into real-life detectives last week, dissecting owl pellets to see exactly what’s on the menu in local ecosystems. From tiny skulls to rib bones, they pieced together the evidence to map out food chains in action.

Want to know what our Junior High and High School students are singing in chapel? We’ve put together a Spotify playlist featuring the songs we’re singing together throughout the year!

We’d love for our families to listen along at home and encourage our students to become familiar with these songs. Our hope is that as they hear them more often, the words and truths behind them will become more familiar and meaningful as we worship together in chapel.

Happy National Coaches Day to our LWCS coaches!

Our coaches do so much more than teach skills and prepare teams for competition. They encourage our students, challenge them to grow, teach them the value of teamwork and perseverance, and help them learn how to compete with character and integrity.

We are so thankful for the men and women who invest in our students both on and off the field. Thank you for coaching, encouraging, teaching, and pointing our Warriors toward Christ along the way!

Ms. Finlayson's 3rd grade class lead the elementary/MS chapel this morning by doing a series of funny mini-skits about situations students face—wanting to be first, comparing what we have to others, fitting in, and always wanting to be right. They showed what it looks like to seek God first in our everyday choices and kept everyone laughing while sharing an important reminder to stop and ask, “What matters to God here?”

CONGRATULATIONS to the members of the Life Way High School Choir who achieved a place in the 2026 All-Region Choir at the Region VI Auditions today! We are so proud of them and love seeing their hard work pay off! We are looking forward to hearing them in the All-Region Choir on November 7th at Bentonville High School!

Cannot say THANK YOU enough for what Ivan, Darlene, James, and CJ do. We appreciate you all so very much!

Today is National Custodian Appreciation Day, and we’re taking the opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to the people who work behind the scenes to keep First Baptist Church Centerton and Way Christian School clean, cared for, and ready for all that God is doing here.

Darlene, James, CJ and Stephanie, we are so grateful for each of you and the countless ways you serve our church and school. From the things everyone notices to the many things that happen quietly behind the scenes, your hard work makes a difference every single day.

Thank you for serving so faithfully and for helping create spaces where our church family, students, teachers, and staff can gather, learn, worship, and grow.

We appreciate you more than you know! Thank you for all you do!

(CJ and Stephanie are not pictured, but we’re so very thankful for their hard work!)
