Three easy and fun March activities we love, plus books to go with them!
🌱 Small World Garden Play 🥕
Moon sand colored brown, dyed green pasta, tiny plastic animals and these adorable gummy carrots
This was our first time making moon sand and it was so easy and turned out great! If you want the recipe, comment “garden” and I’ll send it to you!
🐸 Life Cycles in the Pond 🐢
Blue tapioca pearls, water, lifecycle figurines, laminated lifecycle cards
I made these lifecycle matching cards a few years ago and every spring they are a favorite. They can be paired with these lifecycle figures from Amazon, or cut apart for a sequencing or matching activity. If you want the links to supplies for this comment “pond” and I’ll send them your way!
🌈Rainbow Cereal Lacing Practice 🌦️
This one was easy to make and our littles and bigs have wanted to do it over and over again! Paired with these books our older class will be learning about what makes a rainbow while our littles will be sorting colors!
We may be a little ahead of the weather outside, but we’re too excited for spring to wait! (And have too many activities already in the works, we had to start early 😂) Over the next few weeks we’ll be modifying each of these activities to add new skills! 🤔 I’m thinking about adding number cards to the garden bin and tiny buckets to feed each animal the correct amount of carrots 🥕 🪣
