Thai School โรงเรียนพุทธศาสนาวันอาทิตย์ วัดวชิรธรรมปทีป Buddhism, Meditation, Thai Language, Thai Instrument and Tradition Thai Dance It has been in existence since September 7th,1982.

The Buddhist Sunday School of the Vajiradhammapadip Temple of New York was founded by the head abbot of the temple, Phra Rajakittivedi (Phra Depkittisobhon). It was the first school to teach the culture and tradition of Thailand in the United States. Phra Rajakittivedi (Phra Depkittisobhon) subsequently became the President of the School at its inception in 1982, until 2001. From 2001 until the present, Phramaha Pradit Yankitti (Phra kittiyanvides) then became the current president. The PTA of the School later decided to open the position of headmaster for the administration of the School’s function under the leadership of the president. Initially this headmaster was a layperson but later was a monk specifically chosen by the president of the Sunday School.
