Good morning Holbrook Road!

The Northern Bobwhite Quail release date has been changed!

New release date is Saturday, July 29 at 930a, Caleb Smith State Park!

These beautiful birds have been growing and learning to fly and forage in their aviary. There were over 1,000 birds being cared for at CSSP aviary this year! Some have been transported and released at other sites. We are anticipating over 400 to be released and begin their amazing tick eating here at CSSP on July 29.

Please join us wearing your Holbrook Road garb (any) and look for Mrs. Mayce…we will gather up a covey of quail to release in a separate park area after main release.

Last year the parking was free of charge, so I will assume it will be the same this year…if I learn otherwise, I will let all know asap!

Hello Middle Country Community!
I am the chair of the nominating committee for the upcoming Middle Country PRIDE PTSA. We are currently accepting letters of recommendations to be considered for officers positions with the Middle Country PRIDE PTSA for the 2023/24 year. Although the exact officer positions in the bylaws are under discussion, a president, treasurer and secretary are the minimum required positions. The bylaws committee may propose additional officer positions such as vice president(s).The nominating committee would like to be prepared for their recommendations and be ready to present a slate.
If you are interested or if you know someone who’d be interested, please send an email to [email protected] with interest of position, PTA experience (if any), any other pertinent experience or qualifications, and cell and home numbers by Wednesday July 19, 2023. Please put in subject NOMINATING COMMITTEE. The emails will not be read until the nominating committee deliberates.
Please note that any parent, faculty, or community member who want to support our children can submit a letter.

Tiki Action for all 5th graders is on for tonight from 530-830. Golf will be first so we can beat the rain and then be inside!

⚾️ Information for Ducks Game today,6/11:

⚾️ Feel free to wear your 5th grade shirts or HBR spirit wear!!

⚾️ALL families are welcome to have a catch on the field before game time. 12:35-1pm. Bring a glove and ball!

⚾️ 5th graders (only) will line-up on the foul line on the 3rd Base side and get to be on the field for the Anthem. They’ll also receive a PA announcement!!

If you would like your 5th grader to participate in line up:

Families of 5th graders should check-in with customer service upon arrival. Customer Service will have a section for them to gather and wait (typically close to the section you are sat in) until a Ducks staff member will es**rt them down to the field around 1:15pm.

🌞 Attention: Mrs. Hosein's 5th Grade Class...the due date for the end-of-the-year teacher & helper's gift collection passed, but there is still time...if you would like to contribute, please send in your child's money by this Monday, June 12th in an envelope addressed to "Chloe Pastore - End-of-Year Surprise" with your child's name on it. The children will be giving them their gifts at their picnic. Please pm me if you would like to make arrangements and I can help! Thank you all for a wonderful 5th grade year!!! 🌞
