TODAY IS THE DAY.
Our principal conductor Joe Brice is retiring from the band after his leadership for over 20 years of service. At this concert, we will thank him and honor him.
You are welcome to join us at a reception in the auditorium lobby after the concert.

Hi All:
The school terms are almost over and most folks are vaccinated from Covid. Time to think about what you want to do during your summer vacations? Get back into the swing of things getting ready for the band season by taking drum lessons. I am here and ready for you to start and return.
Congratulations to Aryen Gupta and Luke Scott upon their upcoming High School graduations this month. College band awaits you.
Hi Drum Student and their Parents:
April 1 and the good news is the pandemic is leaving us. My wife and I are fully vaccinated. Hopefully, the worst is over, and Colorado and the country will get back to some sort of normalcy.
With schools opening to full-time instruction, bands are reforming and playing as full units. My bands are preparing to restart rehearsals in May and concerts in June.
Let me know when you would like to come back to continue your drum lessons. I am eager to get back to teaching and playing as I know you are.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Drum Student Update March 1, 2021
Drum Students and Parents:|
Welcome to March 1, 2021.
It has been a year since I have seen most of you guys.
Let me know how you have been doing.
Send me an [email protected] .
I miss you guys.
Things are beginning to get back to how it was before the pandemic hit. Most of my bands are hoping to begin rehearsals in May and concerts in June. All the musicians miss playing and performing.
Is it time to start your drum lessons?
This is at you and your parents' discretion and subject to the following precautions.
Masks will be worn, at all times, in the studio. I have gift masks for all my students and if parents want to sit in the studio, they must wear a mask.
Everything in the studio will be cleaned with disinfectant between lessons.
Bring your own drumsticks. I will disinfect mine if you use them.
I will space the lessons apart enough to disinfect the drums, pads, and sticks.
Let me know by text, email, or call to set up your next lesson.
I am not pressuring anyone to restart but I know you are eager to get playing again as much as I am to teach again.
Stay well!
Joel

Student Update February 1, 2021
Welcome to February 1, 2021.
I listened to a live streamed band concert from Grandview High School on Friday. I can ‘t find any information about other streamed local high school or middle school streamed concerts. If you are having any at your schools, send me the links. I love to see students perform.
