CSMA is fortunate to have some very talented and committed advisers in Colorado. Anastasia Harrison is one of them. In addition to the great work that she does with her programs, she has been an active member of the CSMA board, including her current term as President. We appreciate all that you do and are so happy to see this national level recognition.
Now that we've shared our 2025 H.L. Hall National Yearbook Adviser of the Year, JEA is pleased to announce the six other outstanding yearbook advisers who were recognized this year.

CSMA is so proud of Carrie Faust. She has been a fantastic adviser for Smoky Hill students and also an incredible mentor for students, advisers, and programs all over Colorado. Thank you for all that you do for your students and for students everywhere.
JEA is pleased to announce that Carrie Faust of Smoky Hill High School in Aurora, Colorado, is the 2025 H.L. Hall National Yearbook Adviser of the Year.
With the help of Smoky Hill principal Andre Bala, JEA Vice President and 2024 YAOY winner Justin Daigle, MJE, surprised Faust during her Advanced Yearbook class Dec. 11 along with Ann Akers and John Cox from Varsity Yearbook.
In addition to Faust, JEA is recognizing six other advisers as Commended, Distinguished and Special Recognition Yearbook Advisers.

Four Medal of Merit winners will be recognized for their significant contributions to scholastic journalism during the Fall JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention in Nashville.

Congratulations! The work that you continue to do on behalf of other advisers is amazing.
We are thrilled to announce that Jessica Hunziker, MJE, has been named JEA’s Journalist of the Year committee chair. Recently, she served as the state director for Colorado and teaches at Castle View High School, where she advises Castle View Student Media. We are glad she will continue to serve in a leadership position at JEA! Congratulations, Jessica!

Anna Olson, a student journalist at Arapahoe High School, is the 2025 Eric Benson Scholarship recipient. Olson has worked on AHS student publications for four years and is the Editor in Chief of the Arapahoe Herald. Congratulations Anna!

We are so excited to celebrate this great Colorado journalist!
Congratulations to the 2025 Colorado Journalist of the Year: Jacob Chau of Grandview High School in Aurora. His adviser is Scott Roberts.
Chau advances to the national JEA Journalist of the Year competition. The national finalists and winner will be announced at the Spring JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention in Seattle April 24-26.
